Two men have been arrested following an armed robbery at a shop in Tewkesbury last night (Thursday 12 September).
Police were called to a report that a till had been stolen at knifepoint from a store in Columbine Road, Walton Cardiff at around 8.35pm.
It was reported that a man had ran into the shop armed with a bladed weapon and demanded money from the cashier.
He was able to grab the till before leaving the scene. The cashier was unharmed but left badly shaken by the ordeal.
A number of customers were in the shop at the time and officers are now appealing for them to come forward.
Following a number of other enquiries, two men were located and arrested in connection with the incident.
A 31-year-old man from Tewkesbury was arrested on suspicion of robbery, while a 29-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of a Class A drug.
They remain in custody at this time while investigations continue.
