Man arrested following suspicious incident in Tewkesbury

An arrest has been made in Tewkesbury after officers received a report that a man was acting suspiciously this morning.

Police were called to Ashchurch Road at 10.20am after it was reported that a man had followed a school pupil before approaching her and making sexual comments.

Officers attended the location and identified a man who matched the description of the offender.

The 54-year-old who is of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of inciting a girl under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity and remains in police custody at this time.
