A man was arrested last night as part of an investigation into the assault of a woman.
Police were called to Tewkesbury last Saturday morning after the woman reported that she met a man outside Co-Op in Northway at around 2.30am before he used a Taser/stun device (which was concealed as a black torch) on her three times causing her to fall to the floor.
She also reported that the man kicked her and stole £60.
The 37-year-old was arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of a prohibited firearm before being released on police bail.
Anyone who has information on this is asked to contact police quoting incident 85 of 6 February.
