Local presenter Myles Galloway among those axed by Global.
Heart FM broadcast its final local breakfast and drive programmes from Gloucester on Friday.
The station’s parent company Global announced plans in February to axe a number of regional programmes, including the Gloucestershire breakfast show currently presented by Myles Galloway, and replace them with a single national Heart breakfast broadcast.
Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden will present the new breakfast show from London. The regional drivetime show will be presented by Ben Atkinson from Bristol.
Heart Gloucestershire began life as Severn Sound in 1980, operating from the Old Talbot pub on Southgate Street.
It became part of Global Radio in 2008 and was rebranded to Heart in March 2009.
Their current base at the Bridge Studios in Gloucester are due for demolition in the future.
Former Severn Sound and Heart Gloucestershire presenters including Warren Moore, Paul Ellery and Gregg Upwards can be heard on Sunshine Radio which broadcasts in Gloucestershire on DAB Digital Radio and can be heard in some areas on 106.2FM.
