Gloucestershire Libraries is launching this year’s Library Challenge as part of the county’s Year of Reading.The free challenge is open to children aged three and over and runs from Saturday 11 July to Saturday 12 September.
This year’s theme is Tales Through Time, encouraging children to explore Gloucestershire’s heritage through stories.
Children will receive a challenge journal with nine themed tasks, collecting stamps and rewards as they progress.
Those who reach gold level will receive a special eco-medal and be entered into a prize draw.
Last year, more than 6,500 children took part, with around 2,400 reaching gold level.
