Parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across Gloucestershire are being encouraged to take part in this year’s Annual Parent Carer Survey, launched today.
The survey, run by the SEND Local Area Partnership — which includes Gloucestershire County Council, local NHS providers and Gloucestershire Hospitals Trust — invites families of children aged 0 to 25 to share their experiences and ideas to help improve services.
Feedback will help shape future support across education, health, social care and early help.
Last year’s responses led to practical changes, including clearer communication through a new monthly Families in Partnership newsletter and the launch of a countywide SEND-friendly events calendar.
Councillor Linda Cohen, cabinet member for education and skills, said: “We’re working with families, local groups and professionals to build services that truly meet children’s needs. By sharing your views, you’ll be helping us create a more inclusive Gloucestershire.”
The survey is open until Friday 5 December 2025 and can be completed online at www.glosfamiliesdirectory.org.uk.
