A fire at a derelict flour mill in Tewkesbury is being treated as arson.

Emergency services were called to Healings Mill on Quay Street at around 3.45pm on Saturday after smoke was seen coming from the site.

Three fire engines from Cheltenham East, Cheltenham West and Gloucester North attended and quickly brought the blaze under control.

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said the incident involved a small quantity of building materials, with the fire declared out by 4.16pm.

Healings Mill, a once-thriving flour mill that closed in 2006, has stood empty for years and fallen into disrepair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police online, quoting incident 308 of 4 October.
