Armed officers attend nature reserve after reports of man with rifle

Armed officers attended the nature reserve behind Queens Road in Tewkesbury this afternoon.

A member of the public reported seeing a man who was hunting with what appeared to be a rifle so officers attended as a precaution.

 

Upon attendance, officers were unable to locate the man so it is believed that he had already left to return home.

 

The man was described as being in his late teens/early 20s and had dark hair. He was wearing a black hoodie with grey shorts which went to his knees.

 

The man did not threaten anyone however officers would still like to speak to him.
